Ellie's Tea Party

For Ellie's third birthday I decided to do a tea. We had three other little girls over and both Grandmas and even Nana! Most of you know that I love the idea of tea and tea parties but I don't have them. This I hope is only the first of many to come. We had a grand time and I'm still enjoying some yummy treats!

I love this book!

The girls loved this table and immediately started to dress up in these vintage hats.

Nana gave me matching China and it was fun to pull it out to use and decorate. My mom made some yummy scones and brought bowls full of strawberries.
My mom gave me this set of china with a matching tea pot. It felt like we had cozy tea tables!

Grandma L. not only took these lovely pictures and helped with all the decorating but she gave Ellie this tea set.
Ellie and I are both so unbelievably blessed to have these women in our lives and I'm glad they could be there for the party.

Mommy and Ellie ~ I loved this dress on my little girl! There's still more pictures to come!

Talking Robot

Thanks to Aunt Kitty and Uncle Jeff who once again provided a fun picture and an excited roomful of kids. This Mega Mech robot was Daniel's b-day present last year and matches Luke's cool blow-up shuttle in size and the kids have once again blown it to full capacity and just love motoring this thing around the house. Daniel let Luke take it to school for show and tell. Needless to say it was a HIT! The kids were so excited to see this HUGE robot move around and Luke was literally jumping up and down he was so excited to show it off. It's fun to see the kids get that excited and since we have the van it was a piece of cake to transport! Once more, thanks! The kids love it! Can't wait to have you back!

Danielympics

Daniel had Danielympics the beginning of the month but I'm just now posting a picture of him and his cupcakes. We did relay races, discus throws, long jumps, balance beam, and even some Hockey (air hockey that is!) It was a beautiful day for being winter and it was all outside with no jackets needed. Some kids were even in shorts and T-shirt! Everyone had a good time and Daniel loved it so I'd say it was a sucess! Happy Birthday Daniel! We love you and are so proud of who you are and who you are becoming. Have a wonderful 6th year!

Snow Day

What says 'I love you' more than time spent together? That's exactly the idea we had when we decided to go to the snow. Unfortunately, our half hour drive turned into closer to two and a half hours and we decided to just find a parking spot instead of our final destination. We eventually found a large open field of fresh powder up to our knees and the kids were delighted. We knew there were train tracks close by and when we heard the whistle we went to see it. Of course there's a funny story.
We made sure we weren't too close to the train, but wanted the kids to see the train up close. It seemed to take forever so we had time to have the kids smile and still enough time to look back. Well, I was taking the picture and trying to get just the right smiles so I just kept saying smile and not worrying about the train other than that it was in the picture. As you can see the kids couldn't resist turning around to watch, but Eric was great and kept smiling at me. What I couldn't see behind Eric (but the kids could!) was that this train wasn't an ordinary train. It was a.....SNOW PLOW! As I mentioned, the snow was up to our knees in places so just imagine the tracks. Well, I got the picture I wanted and had just lowered the camera to wave at the train engineer who was looking at me like I'm some crazy women, when I see snow flying 10 - 15 feet in the air as the plow passed over Eric and then me. I was laughing so hard because here I am trying to get a good picture and Eric not looking back to see the snow about to cover him and then the engineer wondering what kind of crazy people would be out there! Thankfully the snow missed Eric and the kids by inches so our avalanche was avoided and we could laugh at it! Note for next time, when a train is involved look behind you before you smile for a camera.

The kids know there's something happening!

All I could see was what was in the last picture and all of a sudden....THIS!

There's never a dull moment in our family!

Happy Birthday and Disneyland

I want to blog more about Birthday celebrations and all that is going on, but I have to put a few pictures up of Disneyland. We only went one day and it rained half of it, but it was soooo fun to see family and hang out as a duo B-day for Uncle Jake and Daniel. I'll just have to post more later, but here's a few for now.
They are so happy!
Daniel looks so big and is wearing Uncle Jeff's number!

Luke loved all the rides!
Ellie got to ride with Aunt Katie in their own PINK car! I just love this pic!
Daniel is trying to reach the pedals and is doing a good job of driving Daddy around!
We all had a lot of fun rain or shine!
